It is anticipated that Phase 3 will encompass a total of 90 rocket launch orders, offering companies an opportunity to participate in either Lane 1 or Lane 2 categories to increase the accessibility of contracts.

Despite the significant developments in the NSSL program, Blue Origin, SpaceX, and ULA have chosen to remain tight-lipped about their recent contract wins. Requests for comments from CNBC to the three companies have yet to receive a response, leaving industry analysts and competitors speculating about the strategic implications of these contracts. As the competition in the space launch industry continues to heat up, companies will need to demonstrate their ability to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions to secure future contracts.
